Disembarkation Day Tips

Disembarkation day marks the conclusion of your cruise experience with Royal Caribbean. Proper planning and understanding of the process can ensure a smooth and stress-free departure. This is your guide to a smooth, stress‑free end to your voyage.

Disembarkation Time & Schedule

Royal Caribbean assigns specific disembarkation times based on your itinerary and luggage group. These times are announced the night before and displayed in the Royal Caribbean app. Following the schedule ensures an efficient and orderly departure.

Luggage & Packing

Guests may carry their own luggage off the ship or use Royal Caribbean’s luggage handling service. Pack essentials, medications, and valuables in your carry‑on, and ensure all checked bags are tagged with your cabin number for smooth processing.

Customs & Immigration Procedures

All guests must clear customs before exiting the terminal. Have your identification and cruise documents ready. Crew members will guide you through the process, which may include a brief inspection of your luggage.

 Express Disembarkation Options

Express disembarkation allows guests to leave the ship earlier by carrying all their luggage themselves. This option may require advance registration and is ideal for travelers with early flights or tight schedules.

Self‑Disembarkation vs. Assisted Disembarkation

Self‑disembarkation typically begins early in the morning, while assisted disembarkation — where crew members help manage luggage — occurs later. Choose the option that best fits your travel plans and mobility needs.

Transportation Arrangements

Plan your transportation from the port ahead of time. Whether using a pre‑booked transfer, rideshare, rental car, or public transit, confirming your arrangements helps avoid delays once you exit the terminal.

Final Billing & Expenses

Review your onboard account on the final evening to ensure all charges are accurate. You can settle your bill through the app or at Guest Services using a credit card or other accepted payment methods.

Health & Safety Protocols

Follow any health guidelines in place during disembarkation, such as mask requirements or health screenings. These measures help ensure a safe and orderly departure for all guests.

Lost & Found

If you discover missing items after leaving your cabin, contact Royal Caribbean’s lost and found department as soon as possible. Unclaimed items are typically held for a limited time.

Post‑Cruise Feedback & Reviews

Royal Caribbean encourages guests to share feedback through post‑cruise surveys or customer service channels. Your input helps improve future sailings and enhances the guest experience. Don't forget to mention any crew member that provided you exceptional service by name and position. They will appreciate the acknowledgement and will be recognized by the senior staff.
